It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Jefferson as volunteers, including Mayor Roy Plott on the ladder, decorated the Christmas tree in Marlowe Park. The tree-lighting will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday. Santa and Mrs. Claus will help Mayor and Mrs. Plott light the tree before departing in a horse-drawn carriage to the Crawford Long Museum where children can visit with Santa and have photos mades. Other activities, including a parade, will be held on Saturday.
